Pastor Toby Sumpter is the Senior Pastor of King’s Cross Church in Moscow, Idaho, and an Associate Pastor of Christ Church in Moscow.  He is the author of the book No Mere Mortals: Marriage For People Who Will Live Forever and several other books through Canon Press.   He is a regular contributor for Canon Press in print, on their YouTube channel and their Canon Plus app.  He is the host of the CrossPolitic Podcast, a part of the Fight, Laugh Feast Network and Conference, and he also writes his own blog, Having Two Legs.

On this episode, Pastor Toby and I discuss how the modern Church has become  liberalized, feminized, and polarized and what is needed to turn the tide of cowardice amongst its leaders.  We examine Reformed theology and what it means for Christ to be ALL of your life.  Using his book as an example, we take a look at Christian marriage and what it truly means to “love” your spouse.  Lastly, we discuss the role of politics in the life of a Christian and why it’s so important for Christians to be involved in their communities.
